bleaching LR

does bleaching it change the color of it also? i have a piece that when i got was a nicer looking orange color and now its a dirty brown green looking color. i wish it went back to the colo it was :-(

My rocks have turned white after I bleached them in the past, but very few times have they turned various colors...maybe it's the chemicals or algae spores deep inside the rock that leached out and altered the color.

ok ima try n bleach it to see if it changes color a bit because the roock doesnt look to nice now :-( well see how it goes ill post a pic in a sec

How much bleach do you use? How do you get rid of the bleach after?

I would use about a 1:4 ratio of bleach to water. Let it soak for about 3 days then once everything is bleached off the rock soak in fresh water and keep rinsing until it no longer smells like bleach/chlorine... then dry it in the sun.
