so I've had this little bastage yellow fin wrasse who has chased at least 3 other wrasses out of my tank (and I have screens), the dude is a major beast. He even chases my chromis and sometimes gives my clowns the busness.

so a few months ago, I put a trap in to catch him and a pygmy angel. after a month, I finally caught the angel, but neve could get the wrasse to get close.

so I was down to one wrasse (this guy) and decided a few months ago, no more screen tops.

well this morning, he did some carpet (well cement floor) surfing. I can finally buy some wrasses again! whoooohooo! :)
 
yeah, I know it sounds cruel, but this guy was brutal, any wrasee I put in he would beat the crap out off and he managed to kill others by chasing them out of the tank. I simply amazed at how he would not go near the trap, even with food. My other wish would go in the, hang out, swim out, all but him.
 
Sorry to hear your loss, but i totally understand what you went through. I had my nasty clown in my tank keeping my splendid in check and now that she is gone the splendid has beat up my YWG. The ywg is now out in the open so he can see the splendid coming. The splendid would sneak up behind him in the rockwork or hole and tear up the ywg tail. poor guy is so afraid. I now need another more aggressive fish to kick the splendids butt.
