Brad aka rattyE36's 90 Gallon Reef Build!

I love the picture in your first post of your cat Edward checking things out. My cat does the same thing, so cute!! :)

Nice tank by the way! I really like the color of the cabinet and hood and your corals are gorgeous and thriving!!!

Thanks a lot Sarah! I appreciate the kind words! I'll let Edward know he's famous!

Word to the wise: Don't go out of town and leave your auto top off on.....I just got done wiping up Brad's flooded apartment!

I hope you checked the salinity in his tank as well, might need an emergency high salinity water change to bring the level back up a bit now. And now he owes you a nice new coral for your tank for bailing him out!

Well luckily his actual tank didn't overflow..it was the tank that his 90g pulls the water from. I had to bail some of the water out of the overflow tank so that I could move it off of the carpet! Thankfully I caught it before his management company did! :s:

Well, at least it was the best you could hope for from a bad situation. DI water all over the room is a lot better than salt mix! Good to hear the tank itself is ok!

Yes thankfully everything is ok and nobody (except you guys) will find out! Unfortunately he has some very very wet area rugs in his bathtub that will probably be moldy when he gets home.

Bump from the dead! Since this build I downsized my 90 (after the overflow situation documented in this thread that took out a lot of livestock and ruined my cheap pressed board stand) and switched to a 40 breeder that was used as an invert tank at Midwest Coral Farms (bought when they went out of business). I have been using that tank until just yesterday when I picked up a frame-less 60G reef ready cube 24x24x24! Going to be doing a custom stand to be able to use my big sump from my 90G! Going to take my time with the build and do it very nicely. Keep an eye out for a new build thread to be started! Will link to it from here once I do.

Someone is more excited to get started than I am!

Welcome back, I love how much ou can get into a 24" cube and yet the small footprint it takes up.

Maybe kitty is just hopeful that you'll add a fish or two to the tank in it's current condition. It'd be much easier to catch this way
