Actually I just swapped it out for a custom made acrylic sump from Will Lutman. While I had it running I did like it. Only reason I changed over to the new acrylic one is the new acrylic one is 14" front to back as opposed to the 12" on the 33g. I have mine laying around I was gonna post for sale. I can take plenty of pictures of old and new when I get back in town. I'm in Green Bay WI until at least thursday.

And those don't help my desire for moving around filler fish. They just hide in the rocks. Let's get both! A dwarf moray pair, AND a trio of mccoskers!

Sounds like a good idea to me.

You can still do with more motion! Large tank, large skimmer, go CRAZY with the bioload!

Alright I need the experts help with the Achilles. I noticed this growth above his left eye and the left eye itself seems to be cloudy. He is still eating like a pig but he is bothering the crap out of the cleaner shrimp. What is it? Are they related? Treatment procedure? Thank you all in advance.

Anyone got any ideas? All the info I have found is very vague and almost more confusing?

Well I've been off the forum for quite a while but I just wanted to say hi again to everybody.

Lots of new screen names around here. I guess a year and a half will do that.

Anywho as a quick recap the tank ran well for about the first 6 months or so. Never really got around to stocking corals so it's basically been a fowlr with some inverts this whole time. Then I started traveling a lot for work. water changes got missed here and there forgot to fill up the top off container a couple times and of course some power outages. long story short we lost some livestock along the way and the tank wasn't in the greatest shape.

Now that work has settled down. I've been working hard for the past month or two to get this tank back being respectable.

Steps include consistent water changes, running gfo and carbon, and regular testing of water perameters.

Also had to replenish the clean up crew as it had dwindled down quite a bit.

There's more work to be done to fixer up but all levels have been within required ranges and the algae has reduced significantly.

Current stock list is:
1 Ocellaris Clown
1 Potters Angel
1 Mystery Wrasse
1 Cleaner Wrasse
1 Yellow Tang
1 Whitetail Bristletooth Tang
Tiger Sand Conch
Various snails and crabs
And I swear there's still a candy stripe pistol shrimp in his burrow.

Additions I'd like to make:
A large male Melanarus Wrasse
Sand sifting goby
Shrimp watchman goby
Perhaps some kind of blenny
And that's about it.

With all the perameters in check as they have been I will soon be looking into acquiring some easy corals to get going.

Anyway just wanted to say hi hope to meet those people I haven't met and see old friends again soon.

Here's some quick phone pics.

It's easy to let life get in the way of our tanks, glad to hear it's on the swing back into the good. You're a heck of a drive, or I'd offer up some easy PIF corals to get you going.
