Bulkheads leaking

That's great news! What did you guys do to fix the problem?

Flipped the gaskets to flatside towards the glass and used channel locks to tighten. Took two efforts as drips formed on 2 out of 3 bulkheads a few hours later after the first try.

Just woke up and checked and all 3 are dry as of now.

We also made efforts to ensure no basement flooding during power outage by modifying intake into pump and drilling holes into return line at surface level.

All in all it was a successful and productive day. I will post a build thread once I have some final product pics.

I'm glad you got it resolved. Good job.

Well that’s the opposite of what the manufacturer of the tank told me. They said rigid side to the glass and that’s what I did. I would have to cut some pipe to undo that but would be more than willing to redo a section of plumbing to get this right.

may want to inform the tank manufactor to change there notes to read smooth/flat side against the glass Ha and you have some bloodied up knuckles to verify it

The ridged side is designed to create multiple sealing rings against glass and should work if done right. A trick I've learned over the years is to use vaseline on the threads. It's like antiseize for plastic. You will be able to get them tighter with much less effort and the threads will not lock up(gall). Use it also on union threads you will never put them together dry again
