Update....

As I was setting up the drilled 40b I cracked the back of the tank by tightening the bulkhead to much.

Currently I have a black and white and Wyoming white clownfish, leopard wrasse, cleaner shrimp, blood shrimp and a rock nem. Below is what I’m currently using and have set up.

Good to meet you this week! Is the leopard wrasse new, or were you not able to find a species that you liked? :)

- Ben

So the flowers nem has decided to move and where she’ll end up no one will know. lol

The bacteria bloom is really upsetting me. I've done a 20 gallon change over the weekend but it still looks the same. After talking to a fellow reefer I'm getting a submersible UV Sterilizer to combat this bloom.

What's going on with the bacteria? Getting a lot of diatoms or something?

The uv sterilizer came in and cleared up the tank in a day... since the last update I’ve added a yellow watchman Goby, blue star leopard wrasse and Pink Margin wrasse.

So the tank is now starting to get diatoms. I see portions of the rock brown as well as the sand bed starting to turn brown. I normally do 5 gallon water changes but might do 10. I'm going to siphon off as much sand as I can and use a turkey baster to blow them off the rocks.

On another note I now have the following fish and coral in the tank.

Black and white snowflake clownfish
Wyoming white clownfish
Yellow watchman goby
blue star leopard wrasse
Pink Margin fairy wrasse
Radiant wrasse
Blood Shrimp
Cleaner Shrimp

Rainbow bubble tip nem
rock flower nem

Bubblegum Digi
Starburst Monti
Jack-O-Lantern
Fruit Loops zoas
King Midas zoas
LA Lakers Zoas
Rastas
Sunny D's
Superman Zoas
Utter Chaos

I picked up two used MP10s yesterday and am running them independent of each other since one will be on constant mode and the other on reef crest mode.

The diatoms are getting worse so it's time for lights out for the next 3 days. I'm also going to leave the light on, on the HOB fuge for the cheato to help as well. Some of the frags have hair algae and one has bubble alge (GGGggggrrrr) so i picked up 2 emerald crabs for that.

The radiant wrasse was MIA for the last 3 day. Finally saw her out for a bit when I got home, but by the time I went to get the fish food to feed the tank she hide again. Today she did the same thing. Now I'll say that I know they bury themselves when they go to bed and are shy, but when I got her for the first two days she was just cursing the tank.

The digi came lose and I had it on the sand bed for the last two days and was finally able to glue back on to the rock.

I was able to go to the swap this past weekend and picked up Candy apple red zoas and Pink and gold zoas.

After 3 days of lights off there were no diatoms that I was able to see. As the lights were out I ended up reaquascaping more then once and still not creaming over it but it will do.

All of the zoas look good after the lights came back on. The digi lost some color and doesn't look to happy.

Over the weekend I picked up a Blue hornet, Vampire Killer, WWC Illuminati & Red People Eater zoas from a fellow reefer.

With regards to the tank it's self, after about 7 days the diatoms are back and am going to go dark for 3 more days. I'm currently running carbon via a media bag in the HOB Fuge. I want to get the HOB AquaTop Media Reactor w/Pump so I can run both carbon and GFO from the one reactor. My only concern is that I'm running out of room for HOB equipment.
