Any suggestions for what's the best way to catch one of these guys? If i have to I'll tear my tank apart rock by rock then drain the water down!! but I think i need a better way first..
If you have a larger net put some food in it and place it in the tank so it only can be entered from one side. I had to do it with one of my fish and he swam right in there to eat and lifted him right out
I would be concerned with his spiny fins getting stuck in the net. With all my foxfaces, each one got stuck in the net because of the pointy fins that go through the net. Scoop him up with a small bucket if at all possible. I just dont want you to go through the mess i had to go.
Try borrowing a fish trap from someone. I think foxfaces are some of the hardest to catch. They are not easy to trap. They zip around the tank so fast and hide really good. I had to take my tank apart just to catch my last one.
