Clownfish variant pairing?

So (noob alert) can/will two variants of an ocellaris clownfish pair or will it be trouble, like a black misbar and snowflake for example. Not looking to breed or anything, just looking to be safe. Thanks!!
 
are they still juvis? or is one a definite female and the other a juvi or male?
if they are both large and it is undetermined as to their sexes....you may have a blood bath if they both turn out to be females...
 
Different species can mix too, like Percula X ocellaris.

Even more different ones can mix I have a Mai Tai which is a mix between Maroon and Ocellaris. I believe the female is an ocellaris and keeps the male maroon in check.
