So... I drove out and picked up a couple of nice frags....and a couple of neon gobies. There was a lot of nice stuff.....fortunately I did NOT bring a lot of cash... If you are on the fence about going.... don't be. I think it was worth the drive.... got to see Jeff, Ben, Frankie, George, Will (thanks for the Pavona Frag), Walt, Nate and a bunch more of the usual people on here. I was not out to buy a lot.... but bought a couple of pieces that will go well in the tank.
A couple of observations... The event seemed well attended. It was not crammed into the VFW. There was some nice stuff like Will's AIO tanks he is doing. If I had the need for a small tank.... one of them would be great. There were some nice clowns from the guys at Booyah (sorry is misspelled), Pacific East was there with some great looking clams.... I wish I had a place for them....they were huge. Of course Walt had a secret supply of ORA Clams that he was dealing in the side.... I need to get me a few of those.... Very nice. I tried to haggle Ben down on his lobo.... I guess my offer of $25 did not suffice... so I dropped it to $20.... was just kidding..... Ben... If I had the cash in my pocket I would have snagged it.
I did re-up my CMAS membership.... The $20.... did take away from some other frags I could have gotten.... but... oh well. To the CMAS Team.... the event looked great and well organized. Of course the weather is probably holding back some of the members from coming out.... It is just too **** nice. I was able to go only as long as I promised to work on the honey-do list when I got home.... ugh.
I wonder when the next Janesville swap is, they seemed to have some great SPS for great prices.
