1. Do you buy your corals online or at a store?
Both, and also from local reefers

2. If at a store, What store and how far do you drive to buy corals?
I mostly buy from MCF but I've bought from almost all the stores in the north, some more than others. I usually try to keep it under an hour of travel.

3. What makes you choose this store for your corals?
Nice selection and fair prices, same reason I'd shop anywhere for anything :)

4. How much do you spend on avg on corals?
That really varies, but usually not much more than $100 at a time.

5. Do you prefer colonies or frags from the store?
I prefer watching frags grow into colonies. Besides, lately I'm buying high-end frags that I would never spend the money on if they were colonies.

6. Do you feel that the Chicago area has enough stores?
Why? You thinking about opening another one?

If I can find an investor to help out. Most of the design is done. Name, promotions, layout.

Just gotta do more research for the business plan so I have some marketing stuff to plan out.

We are looking to bring more high end hard to find stuff to the Chicago area, and hopefully start a nice farming setup rather then just import n sell.

Also from the looks of it we will be aiming more for good priced frags rather then large colonies to sell.

where would you be located, if anywhere near northbrook i could work over the summer so you could get a experienced person, not just a average worker like somebody from petsmart lol

Your margins will be higher on frags but there is certainly a market for reasonably priced mini-colonies. Do you have maintenance clients lined up?

Not yet. We still have alot of things to work out before we can choose a location.

I'm sure we will have minis for sale aswell. Just main focus on frags.

People usually get paid for taking surveys.

Hopefully you get investors and do it the right way, not just another craigslist farmer.

I'll give u a $5 frag if we open.

This will either be done right or not at all. It'll be a business, not a side thing done outta my basement.

Let's just hope for the best.
