Frags
6. Do you feel that the Chicago area has enough stores?

Well hopefully everything pans out well for you. Also start looking into doing maintenance jobs, so you can have a steady income. Like one week do water change for a tank in this hospital and next week in dentist office. Etc

Shotank, MFC and I also like to just check out all the stores in the chicago land

Clean tanks nice stock

10 frags 30 to 50 colonies

5. Do you prefer colonies or frags from the store?
Depends on what catches my eye

6. Do you feel that the Chicago area has enough stores?
there is a few just have to travel a little

Most (but not all) of the LFS's I talk to say that the only reason they are still in business is because of their maintenance accounts. Their margins are very low on dry goods due to internet competition and their livestock sales barely cover real estate and expenses. You'll want to do more than 1 wc per week, just my humble opinion.

Best of luck to you and if my 2c is worth anything, you should sign a lease somewhere on the northside :)

Yeeeeaaaa... I've been looking at that. Most of the members here seem to be north. But myself and my partner are both here In the Bolingbrook area.
 
If you are in Plainfield look in Joliet. Upscale just left (and they were terrible). That area would be itching for a quality LFS.
 
Idk if u seen it. But my buddy was the one that took the location over. I helped sell/ demo what was left over from upscale.

I was talking about 1 water change per location. I don't know too many locations that do 2 WC a week.

Used to be limited to 5-10 bucks for frags, but recently don't mind paying 30+ for higher end frags.

Frags, unless a good price on a nice colony
