So got the tank running and the tank temp keeps rising. Started at 82ish no up to 87. It has a hood that has a 150w mh in it. So I know that causes heat but will it be so much heat it won't ever come down? Anyone else have this setup? How do you keep temp down?

with MH hood you need a chiller. or you will cook everything in there especially come summer time. I run JBJ mini chiller on my HQI 28

U should get 3-4 24 oz coke bottles and freeze them. That what I've done and work fine.

Thanks ill have to look into one if those maybe. I'm going to give it a few weeks and see the pattern of fluctuation.

That's a good solution but bobby said this doesn't evap a bunch so wouldn't wanna over fill it.

There's really no room to stick any bottles in there.

That's a great idea but cost is to be considered right now. I haven't gotten LEDs for my 75 yet and that would be first when I can swing the funds for something. But I do have a spare hood which is a pc hood and just might have to switch over to that hood.
So there's my next question. If I switch to my pc hood what can I be able to have coral wise in that tank?
