Dear Owner of Old Orchard Aquarium,
Several years ago, you got me into this hobby and I bought my first aquarium from you, do you remember me?
I bought most of my equipment and fish from you throughout the years, do you remember me?
I stop in numerous times throughout the year and talk to the staff and buy some stuff despite your ridiculous high prices, do you remember me?
Tonight I needed some supplies and had to meet a friend to give some corals to that outgrew my tank, who also wanted to buy a fish. So, I said lets meet at Old Orchard Aquarium! When I got there you came out and told me that I can't give corals to people in your parking rudely, do you remember me now?
Well as of tonight, I will never meet a fellow hobbiest at or frequent your business ever again. I understand the point you were trying to make however, but I'm not stealing business from you, in fact I was bringing you business! I'm not setting up shop selling corals and wears out of my trunk in your parking lot. What would be the difference if we meet 10 ft over the grass in the other parking lot? I see you all the time, and I say "hi". I step into other businesses and I'm greeted with a warm smile and a "Hey Eric!" (and yes, I'm usually bringing in a coral that I'm meeting someone there to give). They know I'm a good customer, they know I bring them business, and they know me... because they remember me.
I hope others see this and decide to spend their money at other LFS that appreciate them.
