Disappointed of my self as reefkeeper

I had my 90 gallon set up and I was happy the way everything was going, had nice frags from aquapros and some I bought from members from here, but sadly I neglected my tank since 5 months ago and almost all my corals die and my tank it's full of BA and HA, my fish are okay and BTA, just to stressed. If I neglected my tank wasn't much by choice, just that a a fam member got sick and had surgery and had to take care of her. Don't really know if I should get out of the hobby.

keep your head up....I too have neglected a tank in the past because i was working so much. Just got to try bring it back to life, slow changes will help and once you get it back to normal you will be happy that you did.

It will not be that hard to get back!
Add a new CUC ,a Koke tang to graze on the algea.
use NO3PO4X to export nutrients and phosphates ,water changes and good skimming, it will clear up ! Mine did after a month of TLC.You can also replace some of the uglier LR with new ,purple cured rock to make it look nice again!

Sorry for the late reply , should I make a large water change?

Thanks for the advice , is it true bubble algae is hard to remove?

My turbo snails took care of HA. BA was removed by manual removal and few emerald crabs keep it in check. Took about a month to clear it all

I have like 6 turbo snails in there and a bunch of little ones that have no idea what kind. Thanks for the advice, I'm gonna start working on it today... I'm sure I'm gonna get bite by my pair of clowns they are very aggressive when I put my hands in there. Especially when I'm close to their bta.

Maybe a few smaller water changes to start with. What you can do is siphon out water with a small diameter hose while brushing the rocks and removing the BA during the water change. Would you like some help?

Wear latex gloves. For some reason blue gloves seem to get ignored by my clowns

That's a good idea Victor, and thanks for offering your help , let me try to deal with it first and If I see I can't then I will be more than glad to accept your help...

Don't despair, we've all done the same when life gets in the way. You can get it back but you'll have to be patient. It will take 1-2 months. Do 10% water changes 2x a week, pull out what you can manually, increase Mg to 1400-1500, and get a cleanup crew that will get rid of the algae types you have.
