Hey I was wondering if you could PM me the link to be able to get ahold of the stuff to try and build this? I have never diy'ed anything before and will probably blow my house up but I wanna try it anyways. Do the lights have to be space a certain amount apart from each other and would you suggest 3w LED's for a 12g nano? How many also. Thank you in advance for any help you can give me.

OK so I read thru thread again and found where you had put up the link but I still would like to know if there is a certain amount of space needed between the lights. Also what are these "Stars" that people were talking about mounting the lights too?

most leds come on stars like this

.
easier to solder, replace, and thermal dissapation. blah blah blah

The light still works lol. No issue with the solder yet. Like I mentioned before this was just a quick setup done in 20 min I did not use stars because I had none. If I did I would have used them of course. I didn't buy stars because I also bought a board were I can mount 28 LEDs on one circuit I will post a picture shortly

I got the board from dx.com it was 28 led in 4 parallel. I had to cut some of the copper on the board was very easy with a knife. I ran all LEDs in one series.

Thanks madjoe ill need to find a dc adapter

That is one of the coolest stores I have ever entered Joe.

Depends on how big of a heatsink you use and how many leds You use. For the first build I did the one with 7 LEDs I did not need a fan at all I run these LEDs all night as a moonlight. For my 28 led build I still need to hook up a fan to it as it gets really hot.
