So Sorry to hear this about your tank man, I have been following along with your build and you have a seriously awesome talent in this hobby. I was wondering if you might have had an equipment malfunction. I saw that all your parameters were on point and that you couldn't identify anything. Recently a friend had a similar issue and we couldn't figure it out, until he discovered his cobalt heater malfunctioned leading to a rapid drop in temperature and chemicals from the heater leaking into his system creating this could smelling odor. Did you check all of your equipment, did you have a rapid change in temperature that may have normalized by the time you showed up to the scene? if so this should show up on your apex graph as I'm sure u already know. I would also check your uv sterilizer, I noticed you had added a relatively new bulb to the system and if that thing breaks it can leak those heavy gasses into the water as well. so scary to see a tank like yours get such a hit, sorry for your loss man and don't give up!!

This does suck, but on a positive note, I did see several of your colonies looking good, and in good hands. I'd always be willing to help.

that really sucks, sorry to hear that...you have/had a beautiful tank and hopefully it'll flourish again one day

on a similar note, i, myself, just averted a tank crash...nowhere near as quick as yours, however...my tank's decline started probably over the course of a few months and gradually got worse and worse...it started with my very large monti setosa STNing like mad then other montis followed then acros started showing burnt tips followed by them STNing as well...all in all i lost quite a few frags and 1 or 2 colonies i've had for years...it turned out to be potassium overdose and, unfortunately was one of the last things i tested...at first i thought it was ULNS mixed with high alk and lighting because of the burnt tips so i did everything to get my nutrients up and alk down but things kept dying...what fixed everything was getting that K test kit and then doing several larger than normal water changes and my tank rebounded really quickly

perhaps your issue is something you don't normally test for? i have no idea if you dose anything but i'd been dosing K for over a year and never had any issues (and absolutely phenomenal colors) until it built up so much that it started having some real ill effects on my livestock

You will rebuild better then ever everyone that has crashed on here rebuilt and always looks better although yours was sweet already so u set the bar pretty high lol
