Does anyone use Fuel?

It might have been. It really doesnt matter. I just wanted to know about the fuel and if it was worth it. The purple tech or up thing just left a bad taste in my mouth when i was leaving. Its the same reason i stopped going to AA because you shouldnt talk down to your customers, its not necessary and just because you may know more about the hobby doesn't give you the right. Especially when were the ones paying you and keeping you in business.

I agree 100% a lot of stores sometimes forget this ALOT.

Customer service is #1. Doesn't matter if someone's a noob or a seasoned pro. Treat them with the same respect and you'll have a customer who will return to buy again. A happy customer will always be way better for business. Free advertising by word of mouth. This is the best type of marketing out there.

That is why Sho Tank is successful.

I wish I stayed away from Fuel-massive algae out break on the glass after one week...never again. Free bottle anyone ?

So here is my observation with Fuel. I have been dosing 2 times a week on all my tanks to the bottles numbers. I also see my SPS polyp extension is better for few days after a dose. I would say my tanks are doing well. I cannot tell you how much of that is Fuel vs feeding vs BSR 2 part. I watch Alc and PH and just use the cheap paper strips to check for Nitite and nitate. I have Hana tester for Alc, calc, and phos.

Again, looks to me like Fuel helps, but your basics need to be right all the time. My only issues were when Phos was up or Dk was low. You need to keep it in refigerator once opened, it does spoil, keep an eye on that.

The problem is they are not sealed before opening to begin with, so I imagine they spoil quicker then one might think.

Dude wtf u talking about the thread is about fuel ?

I took it that he was talking about anyone using fuel cuz he didn't trust the advice from reef wise...because he said he thought the guy was trying to sell him stuff he didn't need..so i thought it was a little about the mistrust of the store ...was his whole underlying tone the guy wanted to sell him purple up....giving funny looks about the kent marine... and strange looks about his light ect....

also he said this "he was treating me like a noob when ive been in the hobby for years just new to the sps game. I knew he was trying to sell me whatever cuz purple up is crap. I have no problem with calcium i my tank so idk why he would recomend that"

I don't know about RW and their tactics on selling their stock, but we do use Fuel here at Reef City in our coral flat. Since we started using it we noticed better polyp extension especially in all NPS corals. About a minute after we dose, everything opens to feed, and that's when I get my chance to target feed the LPS... like acans and brains...

We have never had any issues with it like fouling the system with unnecessary nutrients.

Everything we carry we personally use. And if we don't use it and it's on the shelf, it's because a customer requested it.
