Dust or what in the aquarium

U just need a good clean up crew.. That way all the un eaten foods and stuff are taken care of..

its not uneaten food :( i feed very cautiously not a single pellet or shrimp drops to the bottom

also i have a peppermint shrimp a cleaner shrimp and around 10 or so crabs and 5 or 6 snails .. need some more ?? its a bio cube by the way

I wonder if you are precipitating something then. Is it really "dust" looking? We should see some pics. It might be excess calcium or something? Or maybe diatoms. If you are that careful with feeding then your skimmer should be getting most of the fish poop.

Hmm then it maybe something else the. Maybe u just need to add or upgrade ur powerhead so everything circulates better around your tank. Also check ur parameters..

a little detritus i wouldnt mind .. but its too much .. and everytime i try to gravel vac my sand starts getting collected too ..

its like it covered my zoas almost to like they are completely covered yesterday :(

If you restrict the flow of the syphon you will be able to pull up the detritus without syphoning out the sand. Try pinching or crimping the hose so it doesn't suck as fast.
 
Also, get a bunch of Nassarius snails, they eat detritus and live in the sand. I haven't syphoned the sb in my 90 in over a year and it is pristine clean :)
Personally, I'd skip a sand sifting star becasue they will destroy your pod population.
