so if the leds go inside the hood, u dont need optics ?

The opposite. Think of optics like a focusing element. The farther from your tank, the narrower of a light beam you want to get the light in your tank. The closer you are, the wider an angle you want. Since most LEDs have a beam angle between 90 and 130 degrees, they work just fine with no optics closer tithe water surface.

Finally went with Kessil a350, should say I have never seen my tank in such awesomeness

They are worth every penny, made me feel like I missed this thing for 4 months lol
