Emerald crab roosting on birdsnest

One of my 2 small emeralds has a habit of sitting on a small birds nest frag. Is this bad for the frag? I would never imagined that a crab could have a habit, but it it is definitely always the same one, and it always ends up back there at the end of the night. This picture is poor quality (and shows how bad my HA is), but you can see him doing his thing. . . Do I need to catch him in a tipped glass? I know there is a crab that lives in birds nest, but I'm pretty sure it isn't an emerald.

+1 on the algae problem. He's probably just doing he's job as well. The poor crap looks like he's has algae growing on him. . . :peep:
