I love watching these guys.

I recently added a Yasha Goby and Candy Cane Pistol Shrimp recently. Haven't seen the Yasha since I put it in the tank a month ago, haven't seen the pistol since I put him in 2 weeks ago. I think the pistol shrimp is still alive, I see new borrows popping up under the rocks. He was a really tiny guy, about the size of a sexy shrimp, so he may just be hiding, I don't hear any clicking sounds. I think the Yasha might be gone, it has been just about a month since I introduced it, it was fine in QT, but it hasn't made an appearance since introduction.

Any thoughts or experiences similar to this? Any hope for these guys?

Just watch all around the base of the rocks when you feed. The first month of my small red banded hi fin goby being in my 27 and 93 I couldn't find him other than feeding then I would see a quick glimpse. Not it's out all the time. So just try watching closely during feedings for the little guy. I'm sure the shrimp is fine. Probably exploring it's caves

I'm fairly confident the shrimp is good, I see new borrows made every day. I remember you telling me about your hi-fin goby and how shy it was, I have a lot of tunnels and opening in the center of my rockscape so I hope the goby is in there somewhere.

And it might not come out to the front it might be sitting in the back so check there during feedings also

Sigh...why do I love the creatures with annoying diets... I picked up one of these guys, a chocolate chip star, and some bone cutters.

Tank looks great man....Harlequins ----yep I may get one too to chow on the little sand stars.

Thanks! I know they are hit or miss with asternias so during the acclimation I threw a couple in the container. It jumped right onto the big one and started munching on it, you can see the balled up star in the first pic.

I have a TON of asternias so that should keep it busy for a week or two. I'm going to start cutting the choco chip and freezing the legs. This poor star has the worst existence ever, it's stuck in the middle chamber of my cube and will get slowly chopped to pieces only to grow those pieces back...

With a water vascular system and basic ganglions, feel safe in they have no concept of existence. Food, reproduction, and predation is all they know.

Good to know lol. I was going to get multiple cc stars but I heard they can be cannibalistic so I figured cramming a couple in that small of a space would just be a waste of money.

Loving this guy. I want to get another one soon.

I move next week to my new place, I'm going to have to take a bunch of pics just in case. I'm only moving about 3 miles from my current place so the move shouldn't be too bad...
