Making the jump from my 29 gallon biocube to this 60 gallon cube! Just picked up the tank today. Getting the equipment and some additional rock next weekend and hopefully setting it up then!

I think my girlfriend and I are sticking around at this place for at least 2 years so that is more than enough time to warrant an upgrade!
Make sure she likes the tank and everything that goes with it before you put a ring on it or it will be more difficult to upgrade in the future

I think Stockholm Syndrome is kicking in. Now that she lives with me she is getting more involved and I can tell she likes the style of the big cube.

Then where's the ring? Actually let get this 60 built and running then I'll ask

rockhead was kind enough to give me a used 20 gallon high with baffles to use for my sump. I cleaned up the tank and applied silicone to secure the baffles. My previous sump would have made the tank stick off of the wall about 3" and now it is only about 1"! That's a huge difference considering it would be an eyesore from the entrance of my place.

Also, big thanks to anarchy for picking it up from rockhead while you were there today!

Got enough room for an ato container? Looks like everything is coming together nicely. Go pick the skimmer up and put this thing together this weekend

I was thinking about getting a military style water container for the ATO. They are 5 gallons, tall, and skinny. For now I will just use a homer bucket outside of the stand. Or look for an enclosed cabinet that matches the tank cabinet and put a 10gallon in there.

Lol you could always do the same thing rockhead did and make seats with cabinets under them and put them next to you stand

Put some new sand in and did the plumbing! I opted to do flex hoses with a ball valve in line with the return pump to limit/control flow.

Plumping ran, securing everything once I have all equipment in place

I had to redo one of the baffles to fit this beast of a skimmer in the 20g high tank

Out with the old, in with the new!

Someone wasn't happy about the cloudy water in their new home.

In the process of mounting equipment and cleaning up wire. That clip on the tank is actually ziptied to the hose from the overflow. It was a quick fix to prevent it from moving.

Everything is alive and the water is clearing up! I am going to pick up more rock and build an actual scape. Todays goal was to transfer everything alive.
