Here's an update of where this tank has ended up -
75G FOWLR w/ 100lbs of rock, bare bottom. I'm running the SWC160 Skimmer. GFO & GAC mixed in a 2LF 150 reactor and an Alpha2 Biopellet Reactor (this is the McLaren of bp reators and way oversized!) Everything is overkill, including my flow. Aside from a 700gph return pump, I have 2 Koralia 750's, a SEIO 1500 and an Aqueon 1250 for a grand total of 4950 gph of flow!! This is obviously way more than most sps tanks
The fish absolutely LOVE all the flow. They know where to hit the current and ride it like a roller coaster. When you watch them long enough, you'll notice that somethimes they huddle in the corner and take turns, one after another riding the waves, like they were waiting in line at 6 Flags. Also reminds my of that stoner sea turtle in Finding Nemo.
Due to my Harley, there is no cleanup crew except 4 snails he decided not to eat. However, I don't really need one becasue all the flow kicks up any detritus which is easily filtered out and the excess nutrients are exported by the skimmer, bp reactor, gfo and gac.
Most would think this tank is way overstocked, and there might be an arguent for that. However, I overfeed and DO NOT DO ANY WATER CHANGES. Plus, there are so many caves and crevices in the scape that they all have a place to chill if needed, so nobody stresses out. This was my end-game with this tank. All I do is keep the reactors full and mag-float the glass once every week or two.
