Finnex hob refugium?

New to all this but found this on eBay, it seems a lot less expensive than most hob refugiums is it too good to be true or would this work... Would be used in a 30 gal new reef tank trying to keep nitrates down .

I have one on my 27g cube. No complaints. I do reccomend upgrading to something other than the air pump it comes with. It can be quite noisy otherwise. I put a little Tetra 50 gph pump on mine. I ordered my hob fuge from Amazon. Cheapest I found.

i like it very well. The little inlet gets clogged sometimes, but it's really easy to clean.

Would a whisper 20 (I have one sitting around) provide enough water flow through the refugium?
