it all depends on what you're fishing for. hotdogs and corn will likely get you some catfish so you'll want to get the bait low in the water.

nice catch. Hotdogs will catch u most local fish. I used to fish in my backyard pond and catch cats, large mouths and everything.

I've been going fishing every year for my bday for about 12-15 years now and until the last 2 years i never believed in artificial bait. All i fished with at this years fishing trip was rattle traps and this lure called a "little dude"

I trippled what my family was catching and they were using Live minnows. It all depends on what u are fishing for and where u are fishing.

In 2.5 days we caught almost 250 fish.

Wow! That's a lot of fish for less then 3 days lol. I used silversides but will try hot dogs. I don't have any artificial lures. The ones i have smell of rubber so not sure if the fish would fall for that.

I went to an area behind the library in elgin. There are some really nice and big fish in there.

I think it's fox river.

Kelley artificial worms are great for catching bass, they have 3 hooks spaced out properly, one at the tail, middle and top of it. If you want pan fish(blue gills, perch, etc) try poppers(they look like flies) and a bobber. Right now the mayflies should be around on the rivers and lakes. When they land on top of the water the fish will come to the surface and try to eat them.
