Flame Angel Please Help

Thanks MJ! Would you know if it's possible for flukes to show up after a couple of months? After a week of treatment with Melafix & Metro/Focus the eye looks much better, what's left looks like a scar. My plan for today was to do a 25% water change, change out the filter sock & pads, reintroduce carbon & Chemi-pure blue, then put him back in the DT. Now I'm wondering if I should start another quarantine tank, fresh water dip, & treat with Prazipro. What ta yah think?

Flukes r one those weirds pest because u can see them they could of been there and not noticed in small numbers i noticed fish dont mind much its until number get out if control u start to notice so yes imo can take months plus they dont always make it to the eyes prazi pro is to weak imo i tried probably 100$ worth while fighting flukes while back fe dips work best all fish would be alive but i screwed up killed em all with a box fish any ways dif story a quick dip will tell u if flukes or not bo need for full dip unless u see them come off

"...Butterflies 2 5 min dips..."

Did you actually do 2 5 minutes dips, wow that seems long, but effective ?
Yep i didnt want to but after five min flukes were still coming off so kept him seperate and dipped him again for another 5min about hr after first one ive seen people do doulble that with no issues depending on fish this was a well established fish i had over 2yrs so wasnt a new stressed already fish which imo makes big difference when treating for anything . Btw u can can do what u want im just throwing out there what ive done personally and personally dont care what u do ive been in this hobby way to long to worry bout if others listen or not i actually get a kick out of some the comets and remedies i see on here

Tru Dat i've done the Regal Angel for a 10 min fw dip with no problems but he is 4" to 5"

Just watch for stress on the fish. Rapid breathing splashing around etc. Ive had one jump out.
But with the stress your angel may already be in. Watch it.

Sure you can expect that the others may have some. Reason as why fw dips are done to new fish...mostly angels for flukes prior to going in

So just get RODI to temperature and let him swim in it for five minutes?

YEP, set the timer on your phone and stick with him for the 5 ..He should be happy and start spitting & coughing them if they are flukes if he starts freaking cut it off early and repeat in a few hours
Bryan .

Everything's ready except for the fish. I couldn't catch him so I'm going to buy a net I can use on him in the morning. After doing more research I'm leaning toward the flukes, now his lips seem to be turning white.

Or at night with lights off and a flashlight way way easier

Fish has been quarantined, treated with Melafix, Focus/Metro, then fresh water dipped. Either there were no flukes, I was unable to see them, or maybe five minutes wasn't long enough.
There were three or four super tiny things that look like a very fine piece of dark thread & about a sixteenth of an inch long, but nothing was moving.
Not thinking things through I ended up doing the dip in a orange HomeDepot bucket making things extremely hard to spot. I did keep the water and will be checking it with a microscope latter today then proceed accordingly.
Also noticed the injured eye & his lips visibly stick out by illuminating under the actinic's, they seem to glow if that means anything.
Other wise he seems to be fine along with the others. Really hope it was just an injury all along.
Thanks again everyone for your help, especially carpetreef75.

I'll do another update when this mystery is finally solved. In the mean time any further thoughts or ideas are greatly appreciated!

Mostly got things turned around though theres still a micro bubble problem that should work itself out after some more water changes. After medicating, quarantining, and a few fresh water dips we guess it was an injury, infection or both. There were no signs of flukes or any other parasites, his eye looks much better though he doesn't seam to see as well. I guess we'll name him Jack.
