Float switch / pump turn off

Ok , i know someone out here has this set up or knows what im looking for ?
I want to put some sort of float switch or some kind of sensor at the top of my overflow box that if the dt starts to overflow or get too high water touches this float / sensor and turns my main pump off until i manually fix the problem and re set the switch ?? I have an apex controller so i can use something that would go thru that if needed ?

Thanks

thanks ! I was looking at something like that but if this gets activated that means the water in my dt is too high and this turns off my main pump . The pump is now off therefore the dt continues to drain what it can , now the switch has a lower water level and now turns back on , this will fill the dt back up until it hits this switch again and the process starts all over ? Unless im missing something with that float i need it to turn off and stay off until it manually gets re set by me when i ge to it , basically a fail safe for my floors when im not home .

I dont want the pump turning on/off every few minutes until i fix the problem ? Hope that makes sense

Do u have a controller? I have a similar set up on my sump controlled by my apex. And thank god I have a fail safe cause while I'm here i n canada my one float failed

yes i do have a controller ,im using an apex light controller , however i dont want this for my sump , im looking for something i can put on my overflow boxes or attach to the tank or canopy ? Something that i can put at the top of the rim on the tank or close to it ?

I'm sure u could set it like that or set another pump. After several floods I can say from experience, fix the main problem. Mine was that I had a ball valve and could not fine tune the return. When I do my 75 I will use a gate valve for better control. I would also recommend a flood alarm. Gl bro

Yeah I understood that, I was telling u I have a similar set up on my sump. Jbj sells their float switches with bracket for $15+shipping. It will work for your application

i have a jbj ato now and im using only 1 float switch in my sump for my ato so i have another one ...... How can i use the other one to turn my main pump off ? Sorry man im a little confused ?

U have to buy the break out box from apex, it's $34 and worth every penny. You connect it to your apex and you can have your float switches control things
