From a Biocube 29 to a 60 Gallon Acrylic Reef Ready Tank

Hello everyone.. just wanted to start my thread for my new build/upgrade. I've been asking questions and preparing for the upgrade for a while now. I purchased a setup from one of the members here on the forum. This included the tank with stand & canopy. It also came with a Proflex Model 2 sump and mag drive for the return. I then found a member that was selling 34 pounds of fiji dry rock and bought it from him. The rock has been sitting in a tub of saltwater with a heater and powerhead for about 3 weeks now.
I plan on moving moving the BC29 from its current location so I can setup the new system in its place this Saturday. I'll be posting pics soon and updating as I go along.

Well this sucks.... the return pump doesn't work. I have a buddy of mine taking a look at it, but it looks like I might have to get a new one. ?

Found out today that the pump was shot. Kinda makes me upset because the member I purchased this setup from said it was working. Guess I shoulda had it tested out before leaving with it. Anyway, ill be heading to the lfs this week to pick up a jebao dc6000 pump. I've been reading some good things about these pumps. As long as there aren't any other set backs.... I'll be ready to set everything up this weekend.

FINALLY have the new tank up and running.. I went out Saturday and purchased the Jebao DC6000 (WHICH IS TOTALLY AWESOME) i LOVE THIS PUMP SO FAR
.I installed a RW8 Jebao powerhead, RO 110sss Skimmer and an Eheim heater. I think I have a mini cycle going on right now.... i checked my levels last night and i have about .25 ammonia. I threw some more dirty filter floss from my current setup to try and bring it down. I'll post more pics later.

Recent FTS. Tank is doing good other than a slight issue with some sps I have. This shot is taken after upgrading the lenses on my Maxspect Razor 27"

Finished setting up my apex! Still trying to see if there's a better way to manage the wiring. I also figured out how to get port forwarding setup on my uverse 2wire gateway so I can use the app on my phone from anywhere! Pretty cool.

For the longest time I had a problem with this orange plate not puffing up. I'm very happy that it's been in this state now for the past month or two.

It's been a while so quick update: in January I purchased a BRS single stage reactor to run gfo and carbon (which is mixed) and it's been going pretty well, it took me about 2-3 weeks to notice a difference in my tank (less algae on the glass and stuff). Then last week I got a BRS RODI 4 stage plus unit which has been great so far! No more trips to the LFS or delayed water changing schedules. Parameters have been steady which I've been able to see a big difference in polyp extension and coloration in corals. I have a no name sps that browned out in December that is now slowly getting its color back. Here's an updated FTS
