"My name is Jon and I have a problem" hahaha you cracked me up man. Great looking build I've always loved those shallow reefs as well. I've got to start posting a thread here on my most recent build but unfortunately I haven't been taking many pics. Was wondering what doser do u use? I've been using a marine magic and the thing is starting to tick me off.

I ordered the BRS dosers and am very happy with them. Warning to the wise.. Run them prior to doing your calculations. Mine actually run 1.9ml/hr.

Sorry for the delay in response.. Didn't see it until now!

How's the return pump still treating you? I really would like to switch, but am waiting for a long term test to see if they're more reliable in the long term vs reeflo.

It is great! I have four outlets so the pressure isn't very high. Depending on head height and outlets the L1 might have been a better choice; however, mine is really for recirculating to keep temp accurate and to feed the filtration.. mP40s and 10s are for the flow! So I don't mind!

Also after removing my mag drive, electrical consumption is down and heat generated from the pump is also way down. Both extremely positive in my book.

Oh and did I mention it is super quiet!

It does help thanks. What maintenance timeframe are you planning, 6 months, yearly, or longer before you tear into it to clean and inspect? I'm very curious how the wear items hold up and how the ceramic shaft is doing.

I'm thinking both 6 months and just prior to a year so I can take advantage of eco techs amazing customer service and warranty to have any worn parts replaced if they are looking dodgey.

So I have a few more months but I'll keep you in loop!

I saw that in your other thread, looks amazing. It will provide a nice depth to the tank

Thanks. I'm hoping so. Just started cementing the rock together today with acrylic rods. Pukani rock is quite easy to drill which was nice. Then to get it cycling!

Eating like a hog too. Once he starts venturing out I'll get a better shot.

Are you going to leave the rods in when it goes in the tank or are they just to hold the rock together while the epoxy sets?

The rods that are inside the rock will be epoxied in. But I will certainly remove the ones that are supporting external from the rock once he epoxy sets. They are acrylic so they won't harm anything.
