Waiting for a Aqueon Proflex Sump 3
Future buys are Kessil Pendant LED'S 2 10k and 1 actinic
2 Ecotech MP10W
Controller
ATO and another Reactor from Avast
Then I can finally add some **** rock. Was looking at BRS Pukani Dry, lots of phosphate from what ive read. But I'm in no hurry to get livestock going, taking it nice and easy.
Sand bottom, just because I like the look.

Well theres pics and some other tidbits about me. I'm sure the kids will make the photos once I really get into the build. Wife thinks I'm nuts. My hobbies aren't cheap

Got two more unions, now it's really easy to take apart and get to things if needed.

View attachment 2318 Siphoning and emptying tank through hose valve into my home sump, no more carrying and dumping buckets.

View attachment 2317 Redid hose valve with pvc instead of hosing for a firmer connection.

Ordered rock and Vortec MP10W should be here in a few days! Next up are heaters and a light!

Well got the rock in and had too much, so had to redo aquascape a bit.
Added some livestock. Pink/Blue Spot Watchmman (1 week ago), Ora Snowflake and Ora Black Onyx Clown (last night), 2 pieces of LR today.

Here is a video of the livestock last night. The clowns have become good pals and don't do any nipping at each other. Got the new Kessil 350a coming in by Monday. Cant wait to get that going.

Very cool! One bit of advice, get that mp power cord mounted to something. You'll be glad you did the first time you aren't paying attention and accidentally knock the dry side off crashing to the floor.

Yep, I've knocked it off already and reinforce the zip ties so it doesn't break if it gets knocked again. Learned the hard way though!

4 Months into it. Heres an update, pic heavy! Enjoy

Nothing really new just keep plugging away. Hopefully adding some corals in 2-3 weeks to get more color. All the livestock is doing well. Water Quality is held in check. 0/0 nitrates phospates, 400ppm calcium, ph range 8.15-8.2, temp 80.6. spgr 1.025. Running fuge with chaeto/lr/dsb, reactors running charcoal and GFO (may stop since phosphate is at 0). Both clowns are hosting the GBA, who has found it's spot and hasn't moved since. Did remove the large rock in middle to trim it down some today and looks a lot better now.
Next big project is ATO and I am thinking about a bigger refugium seperate from the sump. Snowflake was obviously camera hungry today, hope you like the pics. Was working with some macro attachments and they seem to have worked out.

Tankmates:

SPS Montis: Yellow Brick Road, UWW Sunburst, Tyree Setosa, ATL Appleberry, JF Aquaman, WWC Northern Lights from Windy City Reefs prior to going public! Lost two sticks :(
Pepperoni part of the summer paly grow out! Can't wait for next one! Capt'n America's would be cool for the next ones. Neon Spongodes Monti and Purple Plate Monti also from Fishbeard
Purple Tipped Frogspawn from Reefwise.
Yellow Coris Wrasse (Herky) is from LFS in Champaign, where 95% of my inverts and fish have come from.
Neon Blue Damsel (Blue) (only online purchase because lfs didn't have one and I wanted one)
ORA Premium Snowflake (Knucklehead) and ORA Black Onyx Clowns (Goofball)
Coral Beauty (Princess)
Blue/Pink Spotted Goby (TRex)
2 Fire Shrimp (LFS and online)
1 Coral Banded Shrimp (part of CUC)
Black w/ Red Tip Brittle Star (LFS)
4 Emerald Crabs from tiny to large, they are freaking awesome algae eaters! Not afraid of the lights at all. (LFS)
CUC of blue-legged, red-legged hermits, variety of snails. (online purchase)

Hardware:

2 Mp10's in Tidal Swell Mode in opposite config.
Aqueon Sump with Chaeto, running BRS HC GFO and Brightwell Carbon Pellets in two Avast Reactors. SWC 120 Skimmer. Mag 9 return.
Radion LED with TIR lens upgrade. (Had the Kessil 350w)
Feeding fish with frozen mysis shrimp, frozen formula two, dry Elos sv.M2.
Feeding coral with marine snow and oyster feast once a week, Reef chili 3 times a week, cyclopleeze twice a week.
Supplementing coral with Brightwell Koralcolor (has made a huge difference in the color of my corals) and Restor daily, Kent Essential Elements every 2 weeks.
I do a 15 gallon water change weekly. Using Brightwells Neomarine Reef Salt. 1.026 on the refractometer. Test with API Calcium and Saltwater Master Kit once weekly.
Hanna Phosphate and Alk Hand Helds weekly. BRS Two Part for Alk, Mg, and Ca. Mg tested with Seachem Kit. Although, with this salt I have yet to have to add any Mg back into tank.
Water is RODI through a BRS system.
Tank controlled by Reefkeeper Elite. Temp/pH controls. Lights (although Radion is on its own program), pumps, skimmer and heaters all on this, including my Kessil on the 15 gallon. Once I figured the programming out I love this controller. One button "its feeding time", shuts the return, heater, skimmer off for 60 minutes. Heater control so I can never get hot in case of heater malfunction.

Coming Soon:
15 Gallon Florida Ric Bare Bottom Garden (thank Matt for group buy) 16 for me!!!!!

Sorry about the long update, rodi overflowed while i was typing this :p, (was filling a 5 gallon bucket), wifes going to be pissed. :redface-oops-6:
