Good or Bad?

I've seen this guy a couple of times and I was finally able to get him to pose for a picture. Anyone know if he's a friend or a foe? The frag plug he's on is about 1.5 inches.

Well i hate em they eat coraline alage some say they eat zoas all i know they spread like crazy mine didnt bother any thing but coraline forget the name of those little stars

Looks like the asterina starfish.. but IME some stay on the glass and some eat coral. I would flush it just in case.

I never seen one harm anything in my tank ...but the word is they eat coralline so I pick them out...early morning or after dark when I see them out.

There are a bunch of species, some benign, some not. No way to tell if that specific one eats coral or not.

I throw them in qt or sump not much to hurt in there so they have no choice but be good

Better pull them out before it's too late. I left mine alone (the gf liked them) and the next thing I know, all my zoas are gone and my orange digi got chewed up bad
