Goodbye tank or goodbye home...?

We pay maybe a 100 or 200 dollar discount at best, also all utilities are mine to pay. The sister had trouble selling and renting so my wife said, "hey itll help her and us if we rent." Ive basically been paying her sisters mortgage for 3 years and the neighborhood is crap. Got kids punching my garage as they walk by, steal/throw my garbage container in the pond, steal my packages, and my sister in law now trying to dictate what I can and can not have in my living room. I don't know much about buying a house, but I pay 1200 monthly... how much would it be monthly to mortgage a 3 bedroom 2 bath house? Id gladly move but my wife is too attached to our home. Ugh, this whole situation is just p***ing me off. Getting rid of the tank is not an option.

1200 a month gets you around 120k of loan with 5500-6000/year taxes escrowed in and insurance included.

I'd move if I was in that situation. Clean break without any bad feelings (hopefully)!

I got two tanks, a 90 and a 24g. Without a humidifier my RH is 26%. So There has to be a leak. What is your RH im your house? When i had a zero edge type tank my humidity was very high in the room and I had some mold on my windows
.

Get out. Why pay your sisters in law mortgage while she clearly doesn’t care about you or her sister. And who demands a lease from family???

Good points, I've always felt what you stated. I am trying to gather some money and move out. Haha maybe I will end up downsizing... but not on sister in law's accord.

I figured there's no use since the landlord doesn't care what it is. I garuntee it's not an issue, the air is dry with no signs of humidity. The mold isn't even where the tank is. I would assume it would be above or on the same wall as the tank. I just never cleaned the ceiling from before she had the attic reinsulated. I'll just give her her the rent in pennies and be on my merry way.
