Green hair algae problems

ugh looks like you have some dino mixed in there, manual removal, i use a water changer with a filter sock that sipohons into the sump and a tooth brush, scrub and suck and the filter sock catches it, run GFO like crazy to get phos down and get a few blue legs and dont feed the tank for a week, hungry crabs make short work of algea.

Get something to eat them, tang or tubo snails. lights out just kinda dissolves them and release nutrients back into the water. you will need to do a water change before you turn lights on or algae just reabsorbs all those nutrients back to fuel more growth.

so after some serious scrubbing and reshaping the aquascape of my tank here is what I came up with.

some HA is still there but not as bad.

I am adding GFO later on tonight and I got a canister filter that has a built in UV sterilizer in it with its own switch
