Sooooo I got an iPhone 4S little over month ago.
I bout an lifeproof case. It shows its usable under water up to 6ft deep.
I did their water test couple weeks ago and case came out dry.
Today decided to get some cool underwater pics in tank.
Took phone out and found water inside of case.
Phone is working just the flash/flashlight is staying on and occasionally flickering. Darn it!
Called lifeproof and they said they warranty the case and not what's inside the case. So they are sending me out a new case which is nice but now my phone is actin up.
Should I got to AT&T store and say "I don't know why my light won't turn off?"
Or, like the lifeproof guy said, just be honest and tell them what I did an maybe yet can help me out?
No i didn't buy the extended warranty. Just got the case. Haven't really used or needed warranty and wouldn't need for this if A: the case didn't leak B: I didn't put phone in water.
Opinions?

Got water in my old iphone. It worked for about 12 hours after, but acted really weird. Took it to the Apple store to see what was up. They can tell right away if your phone has water damage. Mine warranty was expired, so I had to buy a new one.

Found there are 2 spots to see if water damage. The one on bottom doesn't show water damage. The one on top shows water damage.

Its 2 late. All the rice does is pull out the moisture. If u wanna be sneaky use some white out on the color button lol

Guess I end up with a nice person that might feel bad for me and offer a new phone at no cost. Maybe they'd ask to see these awesome pics in return for the new phone? Lol

does it matter what color the stickers are if the rice pulls out the water and the phone works again. The more you wait the more damage you cause.

you can also use desicant (moisture remover) from a hardware store which is much more powerful (hygroscopic) than just the rice.

I'm jut hoping that I go to AT&T store ad maybe catch a worker having a good day and they defect the phone out and hook me up. Otherwise it'll be sitting in something hoping I can avoid further probs.

Those are the things that come in shoe boxes. Go to walts house he probably has enough to fix all our phones lol

Its highly unlikely att will do anything with the phone. They will advise you to take it to apple because they don't service iPhones. They only sell them.

Phone should b ok after 1-2 days. I dropped mine in toilet and speaker was out for 2 days. Then worked fine

salt water is going to be the problem. it's possible that, whatever the desicant; will leave too many minerals to clean up whatever shorts are going on.

I think Jorge's pee water is more corrosive than salt water.
