Hammer coral issue

With all the holiday fuss the tank hasn't been getting a lot of tender love and care like it normal does. I noticed about a week ago my two hammer corals weren't opening. The pollys, Zoes, acopora, and open brain are all fine though. One two headed branch was somewhat open and my 6 head purple tip wasn't opening at all. Shortly before the issue I added more flow to the tank so figured they just didn't like it and moved them. Still same issue even after relocating. Then I cut the new flow all together. Still same issue with both hammer tips. I have done two big water changes this week and still same issue. I have tested cal, alk, nitatre, phosphate, ph, and salinity. Everything was good except my alk was only at 80ppm. Any help to raise the alk fast, and also any tips to try to get those hammer tips open would be appropriated.

Agree with the above, and that's a great link he pasted too- very helpful article that I've read a few times.

I question your alk reading tho. If you did 2 big water changes in the last week and your dKh is only 4.5, something is big time wrong. There is a whole paragraph towards the beginning of the article under "one caution" that you want to read for sure. I'd say check your test, your reagent, and your method before you start dumping baking soda into your tank.
