Herbie's 45g^3

Emergency procedures seemed to stave off complete destruction. Now how to scape a tank while occupied. I think I understand the difference between a surgeon and a coroner a little better now. . .

Ouch, sorry to see that, Nate! Just a word of caution, ten gallons are incredibly prone to breaking; just look at the thickness of the glass! PetCo is having their $1/Gallon sale this month; if you can, I'd go pick up a 20 Gallon. The 1/4" glass should make a repeat impossible without you physically trying to break it

Good luck!

So at Walmart I bought a bunch of 1 minute epoxy and put this quick and ugly sump together.

THEN I read the package and it said "Not for long term exposure to water or potable watter systems". It was about 3am at this point so I cried a little and then decided to use one of the other 10g tanks I got just to be safe (who buys just one 10g anyway?) I didn't have any acrylic (that wasn't epoxied into a tank) and I didn't have time for silicon anyway. Final option. Critter keeper return section:

It seems to be working pretty well. Here is the complete sump/fuge area before refilling.

was it jb weld? or just a 1 minute epoxy?

it was that Lock-Tite 1 minute epoxy that mixes the resin and the activator in the twirly syringe thing. It would probably be OK, but I used a bunch of it and was afraid it would still be off-gassing for too long. I may still put it in if I feel like I need it, or I might make a new one properly.
