How to beat Cyanobacteria

Mb7 or another nitrifying bacteria is what I dosed to get rid of my cyano. It took about 5 months and I am pretty sure it was due to the whole "new tank syndrome". Getting my water clean, getting a lot of good bacteria in to starve out the bad. Time and manual removal also work well. The vacuums that have fine mesh filters on them work well. They suck out the cyano and leave the sand and water. Good luck!

Good advice, I'm just gonna continue with the water changes and hopefully the new bag of chemipure will help. Might get a submersible fuge light and try some chaeto algae.
