How would you get rid of green water?

The best plan would probably be to throw the whole dang thing out my window and start from scratch. Anyone know a good contractor?
 
It's pretty big and elevated above a walk-out basement ....

No, no, no, you're all wrong! The best thing is to put in driftwood from a freshwater setup. The brown from the tannin would push out the green!!
 
I heard buying sickly fish from people and broken equipment could potentially help with green water. I could be mistaken though :p
 
Your best bet is to put a ball valve smaller than your drain pipe and then buy a much bigger pump. Then you won't need to siphon the water out anymore.

This and a little driftwood should take care of all my problems, thanks guys!

BTW...does anyone know if acro's will stick to driftwood if I use super glue?
