I hate reefcentral

be careful what you say here. for some reason they like to read bad stuff said about them in other forums and they hold it against you.
 
I don't understand people getting upset at RC. Yes, they are very strict as far as what you can post and don't tolerate BS, but most people probably deserved to get infraction or ban. I have been member for 3 years with couple thousand posts there and not one infraction. You can speak you mind and your opinion there as long as you do it in the right way and not breaking rules. I love this forum here because is local , but RC is still the best place to get info or sell your stuff and losing access to it is your loss I believe. What happened? Let us know instead just bashing them. You might have valid point, but to just say hate word without merit you're not doing anybody favor especially you.
 
I been on there for 8 years. I'm just having fun and venting. I didn't get banned just in trouble. But it's a joke how their moderators are. That's all. They will pm u being extremely rude yet if y talk to them like that u get in trouble. It's just a joke. That forums.

I love chicago reefs. Way better forum. IMHO.
 
chicago reefs is a great forum but only half of what RC is much more knowledge and in for there you just got to watch how you come off in your post thats all
 
I hate reefcentral too
So I go to the forums based in the Midwest and ask for info to be in touch with a board member and what not. Some of those sections don't even have a club. And those that did have a club had said they don't have a problem with me posting. Indmas pres said ok. A board member from cmas said he didn't see a problem. Another group didn't have a club but a person that was most prominent in that section said he didn't see any problem with it. So I started a post and said "rc mod, I have contacted a board member and they have said its ok I post this" then I posted the information about the swap.
This is what I got today

And the dude deleted all my posts about the swap and my posts asking if I can locate a board member to request permission to post. This dude is soooooooo important and wants everyone to know! I'm about ready to try getting banned and have fun with it.
 
People with too much "power" who live in the basements of their parents' houses? lol I can't remember who told me that.
 
Im not on any other forums i figured id get kicked off one at a time lol. So far im still here. But when i have reef question i google and 98 percent of my answers come from them so i definitly dont hate them . Ive heard there strict but they have alot of people on there that know what they talking about

Yah. Its not worth it getting banned. Its a wealth of info there. + the for sale section is awesome.

Yea idk about sale gotta be member i will wait til i get banned here then join there lol. But i can still see all the good info there without being a member and the strictness works u can ask a question and not get all bs answers or bickering . Least as far as ive seen again im not on there much but its my go to place for answers on reefing
 
Wow. It is all I have to say. I understand people get frustrated but comeon. Why would anybody want to get banned from anywhere? This is childish IMO. The point of a forum is to bring a community of people together with the same interest, to help each other out. This is where good communication skills come into play. Hang in there guys, we never know who is typing on the other end.. they could really be going through some rough patches in their life.
 
Rough patches like a bad power trip! That is all it really is. RC mods are famous for it. But I agree, no need to get banned.
