I hate reefcentral

You guys are only focusing on the CMAS section. The rest of the site is a wealth of compiled knowledge that you can't find anywhere else on the internet. There are so many actual reef keeping experts, with real degrees and peer reviewed, scientifically accurate information that only post on that forum.

I for one don't always agree with their moderation style, but am very glad to be a member of reef central.

It was a heat of the moment thing. I won't be seeing how I can get banned. Have you been a part of reefcentral and see how over the top power hungry some of the mods are? If you have you'd understand the frustration with it.
Rules are rules and their there to follow to keep a good amount who respect there. Apparently I hadn't followed the rule they have even though I thought I had. But the guy didn't have to delete all the posts then say something. He could have messaged me and discussed what was wrong and explain what I needed to do to make it right.

I didn't mean any disrespect. I have been a part of RC since 2006. I understand, what you went through was messed up. You went through their channels and at the end got the worst of it. I actually saw your post 10 minutes after you posted it and was really looking forward to taking that drive. Hope you get we you want out of this. And if this meet is still going to happen I might see you guys there.

Lol i was just jokeing about being banned and was talking about here unless someone else mentioned getting banned. Besides like i said im not even a member there. And as for this being childish get use to it just a bunch if people venting happens hear all the time lol

I went through the channels and thought I did it right. Got one clubs prez said ok to post, another secretary said ok, and another didn't even have a board in place. Oh well

I'm banned for life over there because I refused to give them $500.00 cash to be a sponsor . They found some of my adds on CL and demanded I become sponsor and pay them or they would ban me for life even though I never tried to sell a thing on that site.
 
I was supposed to be banned for 3 months for telling someone in a private message how to search google and find ChicagoReefs.com. It has now been over 9 months and they will not reinstate me. I will and have admitted I was wrong, but they still will not reinstate me. People started asking on my 60g cube build thread where I was about 6 months ago and they deleted my entire build thread.

I still like Reef Central and like Ted said, the information available there is insane.
 
I appreciate all the info available on RC. I enjoy being on Chicago Reefs since I am in the Chicago area. We read/take what we like from any site and ignore what/whomever we do not care about. Enjoy the hobby and its endless challenges..
