Do you have any tank regrets? Anything involving your tank you wish you had done sooner?

Share NOW! So the noobs can benefit.

Here's a few examples:

Should have used water weld from home depot rather than buying epoxy glue which is more expensive.

Switching to a bigger tank!

Ok lets hear em, thought this would be an interesting thread idea.

*just upgraded to a 65 gallon btw! :D
 
Save yourself time and money. Buy Ecotech and Neptune, your tank will love u for it. Keep those rocks off the glass and out of the sand, suck out detritus often. Stay consistent, dont change husbandry practices unless absolutely necessary. Switching a small part of your husbandry can have a drastic effect on the happenings of your tank. #1 thing, dont take it so seriously, its a hobby, have fun.
 
WOW..didn't know so many were PRO no sand! i may rethink about having sand myself! sounds like a good idea

HOW ABOUT PEBBLES/ROCKS?

I say siphone cleaning would be easier to clean off pebbles than off sand because sometimes you catch the sand up also and lose some as you clean...

Pebbles, rocks, crushed coral, etc. will trap TONS of detritus.
 
wish i would of went led long time ago before i wasted money on all the differnt lighting i tried
