+100. Yeah thanks for piping in I am now thinking this is a pretty new tank he has. I did mb7 alone for 6 months before I even started vodka. I just do a very small amount now and have researched the dickens out of it, it's not something anyone just starts up one day without tons of thought and reading. I should of mentioned that a bio pellet reactor is another great way to run a low nutrient system. Good luck!

I wouldn't attempt to add vodka in my tank seeing how its currently only 8 gallons. Just seems a little tricky. It's been looking good. I loaded the rear chamber with filter floss and I'm running chemipure. My water should be kinda clean till early November. I'm building a 22 by 22 by 22 cube w sump/refugium and reef octopus Skimmer. This setup should be close to 60 gallons. It'll perk that sps right up.

I plan to build that setup and transfer my livestock right into the new tank. After adding nearly 50 more gallons and 20 more lbs of live rock; should I have much a cycle. Should I add the lr little by little over time?

It will only create a mini-cycle if you increase the bioload. As long as you move as much of the nitrifying bacteria in the sand and rock over to the new tank and don't increase the live stock you shouldn't see much if any cycle regardless of water volume.

Okay. Sound like a plan. I do like the carbon reactor idea. Is it too much to do a reactor and a Skimmer. How about putting chemipure in the reactor. I'm pretty sure I can DIY a reactor. Seems pretty straight forward.
