In-wall, or not in-wall

I think you should try and visit someone who has an in wall setup like you were thinking in order to see it in person. It might make your decision easier.

I put mine in the basement and plumbed through the wall into a closet underneath the basement stairs. Just cut a hole in the wall and pass the pipe through. Caragol I'm in Plainfield if u want to take a look

These are old pictures from when I was running my sols but the only ones I could find right now

Nice stand Jasimek, I have the same one with the matching canopy!

My tank can be seen on 3 sides and as much as I'd like to do the in wall thing...I like seeing all around the tank...if/when I do another..it will be a peninsula tank.

The more viewing panels, the better, IMO. I would do a cube with central overflow, in the middle of a room, if I had the space. 4 different tanks to look at, for the price of 1.

Peninsula tanks are nice.

Otherwise I've always been a sucker for the in-wall tanks. I like the idea of building the tank into the wall, but leaving the sides and front accessible for viewing. If you have tons of room to design this, then you have no limit to how you build it.
