Hey jeff, what are your nitrate/phos levels? My regular CUC takes care of any algae in my tank.* knock on wood LOL. I had some hair algae in my 29g and it turned out that i was feeding too much. It went away after i decreased my feeding and started straining the frozen food instead of just thawing it with SW from the tank.

My phos is .04. My tank may be just going through a little cycle but it shouldnt really since i used dr tims.. Maybe i need to add more cuc since i only have 3 snails.lol only feed the tank today to see if my watchman is eating.. Might be my rock or maybe a frag i put in the tank.. Gonna recheck the phosphate levels again tmmrw and see.. U think added more cuc will help or maybe a water change

Oh is this the tank you just started a few weeks ago? Then yeah it could just be cycling but right you do need more CUC! What's your nitrate level?

are you planning on a shrimp pairing with the goby? or just the goby? does it swim around or does it just peek in and out of a hole?

yes sir it is. Yeah i will probably get more CUC to help battle the algae.. Dam mini cycle lol.. Um my levels are .75

no pistol shrimp due to the small foot print of the tank.. That shrimp will bulldoze sand everywhere lol.. Just gonna add another goby.. When im looking at the tank from afar he comes out of his little hole and swims around and obeserves but when i move closer he bolts back in the his home. But during feeding time he is out and about...

Just want to give a shout out to @ascension aquatics for the awesome goby and after 1 day in the tank its already paired up with the other goby :) Thanks again

Now im fully stocked fish wise.. now to add more cuc

yayyy .. but beware chalices and cuc doesnt go together IMO .. i want a fire shrimp soo bad but all it would do is dig my chalices for their food. which is why im shrimpless now.

Love the blue spots. Is there a way to determine the sex to pair them or are they hermaphrodites? (Is that the right use of that word?)

Usually the much larger of the gobys are the female and the much smaller is the male. When these gobys mature more the one that changes colors to a black and white is the female.. They are similar to clowns when sexing.

pulled out the dslr today and took some pictures

Added more to my cuc

1 nas snail
1 cowrie
2 cerith
2 turbos

FTS of the tank
Its a little messy due to the hair algae and clearing out my sponges in the back chamber. My plan is to get an intank media basket to help with that.. Also moved most of the sps in the tank.. its recovering after not doing too hot in my 28g.. Still have polyps so its ok so far.. lost a little bit of the color.. Hopefully it'll bounce back..
