Ok I understand the only shoot to kill thing. But was it necessary to unload 11 rounds? Even when he's on the ground motionless?
Was the officer right to shoot? Yes. Was 11 rounds necessary? No not in my opinion. What sucks is this family will get money from the police, whether its settled in or out of court. Usually families of gang members aren't much better, so let's make them rich.
Justified.... I could say yes but I could also say yes to excessive.
See that's the thing. The reason family's get paid for things like this is bc the media plays on the excessive force thing. If citizens understood what the real deal is... They wouldn't get paid. Liberals always cry for these people, yet they love to say the police aren't doing their job when they don't do something. Damned if u do and damned if u don't. I personally don't think 11 was excessive. If u see in the video they asked him, "how many rounds you shoot" his response was "around 6". Reason being, ur not counting rounds as you shoot them. I shot 23 rounds from my at-15 in one of my shootings. I couldn't tell you how many rounds I shot after the incident. I was more concerned about the 2 officers on my team that got shot. Just saying
