Comment if u see anything that I should improve on. I'm also doing a water test to make sure the seals are tight.

Looking good kameron. One thing , I saw your stand is made if 1" by 4", I just think that your stand will not be strong enough to hold the weight of a 40 gal breeder. IMO

Really u think that. I've made a bunch of stands out of 1 by 4 before and have done well. Thanks for your concern though

If you only put 80# of rock without sand your up to 400#'s . Kinda scary but regardless I wish you the best kameron , no matter what I know it will look real good .

looks great so far, things of concern do u have enough space to maintain equip in that sump could just be picture but looks pretty tight to get skimmer and such out without being a headache, and are u gonna have check valve on your return ?

Luna I still have enough room for when I get my skimmer.I decided not to use the 29 cause it was very tall. So I went with the 20 high.

Idk if you planned on it but I would defiantly put something on the top of the stand some wood or something so the tank isn't sitting just on the edges, also that stand would hold a school bus, but not with kids in it cause they're all too fat these days.

I don't have kids I'm 16.one of my brothers fiends is a carpender and he said its strong but he would put a beam across the top so he the edges not bow.

Going to post it here just so the thought isn't lost krocky...

You need to put a piece of plywood on top of that stand. As is, the tank is NOT distributing weight over the legs of the stand, but is rather resting on your 1x4's lining the frame. This is putting tremendous shear stress on the screws attaching them to the frame. If any of these were to fail, your tank would be in trouble. By putting a piece of plywood down over the whole top of the stand, the weight from the tank will be evenly and safely distributed over the entire surface area of the wood.
