Led fixture questions...

yeah that is out of the question i think jimmy.. do you have any modular units?? if not i think i might just buy the ones i was looking at i guess. Everytime i try to do more research on stuff i just confuse myself more and more lol.. i guess i could just spend the 700 on the kit from rapid led too..

No larger modular fixtures yet. Just the 120w panels and the par bulbs for now. If you come up with any other questions during your research, feel free to ask!

you think 5 of the par38 withh cover a 150 long?? my tank is 6ft long and it is 28" tall too

Jeff,

My tank is 8 feet long 32" front to back and 38" tall. I have the bulbs 16" above the water line. I'm running 6 bulbs in the front row and 5 bulbs in the back row and everything is extremely well lit. The light is even spread and great par values even at 38". You can refer to my build thread for details. I think that you will be presently surprised and pleased.

do you have sps in your tank also?? but you are also talking 11 bulbs at 130=1400.. thats too much for me..

Jeff,

I'm not sure why no one else is jumping in to talk you away from PAR38's... They are good, but not for that size of tank!!! But IMO go with a fixture and call it a day..
