LegoZ Reef - The Move

this is awesome louis. Do you Mangroves stay upright in that board. Mine are constantly changingg bouyancy and they float all over the place. I'm enjoying stealing ideas from you.

yes but they are tight in the board and i have lost some, I think i might be pinching them too tightly and will be redoing the setup in the future, setting up a more natural ecosystem for them with a sandy substrate and maybe some miracle mud. I think I will use my 24"x36"x8" frag tank for that.

yeay I've tried lots of stuff but they don't like anything on their trunk. Right now I have them just floating over the side of the tank and they are super happy. Growing at a right angle, but super happy. I can't wait to see what you come up with for a more permanent home.

Tile started to go down last night:

I hate tiling, my knees and back still hurt and it was over a year ago. When you grout make sure you use a damp sponge to wet the tile first, it makes wiping it clean easier and don't get too far ahead otherwise that grout hardens and become very hard to get off (sorry if you already know all this). Have fun, it looks great.

With help from TwinSpots_Goby the firefish and the blue star leopard wrasse have been moved along with the remainder of the coral, that I am keeping. I should be able to shutdown the 240 shortly and get it drained!!! :D
Also moved an acrylic 75 gallon and 2x4 stand into the back room (not fishroom) for water storage for top off and temporary water mixing station.

things have again ground to a halt, the 75 gallon tank has a bulkhead in the bottom that leaks and there is still too much soft coral that has grown on the walls in the 240 to shut it down without mad stinkage.
Before I can say I am finished:
old house
240 drained and moved
125 drained livestock moved, cleaned and listed for sale
2'x3'x8" frag tank livestock moved
stands dismantled and misc equipment moved
new house
new fish room still needs to be planned, floor finished (some cuts and then grouting), wired, insulated, dry-walled, painted, stands built, stands painted tanks moved in, plumbed, tanks filled, and livestock moved.
i am tired exhausted sleepy and want this to be done. :)

1. insulation is denim so there is not any worry about the kiddo getting into it later
2. light switch is for the furnace room as before i framed up the fish room it was one room so i had to rewire the light
3. the weatherproof outlet box is to hopefully keep all salt residue out of the electrical system this time around. salt get everywhere and it had consistently corroded outlets and wiring on me.

Wow bro, awesome job so far! It's a lot of work but when you can sit down, sip a beer, and enjoy watching the tank, it'll all be worth it!
