luna's reef build

For light's I'd get one fixture and then spotlight with PAR38 bulbs. Ecoxotic's PAR bulbs give you a lot of color options, and their fixture is a lot cheaper (albeit less powerful, but more than enough for the depth of your tank), and you can get UV with them too. It's lights I have on mine.

Main reason I'd get the spotlights is otherwise you'll have dark spots and/or you'll be paying out your a$$ in too much lighting. Ecoxotic's Panorama fixture has over 200 par at 24", which is more than enough for anything, and the PAR38 bulbs make great fillers, and then you're not getting too much light, spending too much money.

thanks was hoping to get away with one or two of the same fixture to avoid different colors in tank ill definitly keep in mind tho here are some shots of the plumbing downstairs (i am in no way a plumber so please be nice lol)
three drains at bsmnt ceiling

and the fss three drains go to the right into two filter socks one return to the left with as many 90 angles as i could use i might have issue with window so i might put my fuge there or just cover it

Another idea is the LED cannon pendants. What brand do you have now? I spent gobs of time reasearching lights jsut a few months ago, so I have alot of information at my fingetips, lol.

i have three 400 watt radiums one apollo reef 20 k 2 captincoral led fixtures and a 48 inch t5 fixture with new ati bulbs and a fixture from gus but thats dedicated to the biocube

If you want you can come see my Ecoxotic lights. They rock, are expandable, and have a very, very wide coverage area. Like I said, not as strong, but strong enough with dimming.

Or, I considered getting a track lighting system and just using PAR38 bulbs across my tank. With the odd shape of yours it might be an interesting choice.

Acrylic came in glued and siliconed last night was dry this morning so the transfer happens today when i get home havent water tested tank so jopefully everything is good looks good i must say. i expect some loss of corals and such but to get this up and done tonight will be the icing on the cake besides the lights but thats another thread pics to come soon anyone have a shrinking machine need to fita 210 in a 92 wish me luck

here are some update pics all went well with a couple casualties which wasnt too bad i guess i had no leaks but had to replumb the return with some vinly hose which was a great idea thanks to the guys who gave me some tips on another note when doing the bean animal which is a awesome system but valves too far from the sump will make some noise not much but unwanted so i added two more on drains just before the sump.... all in all id say everything went great picking up new lights tom from gus cant wait possibly trip to get some new fish so here ya go enjoy
