Madjoes rebuild

Time man time you are running Phosban now right?

Yea seems to be doing the trick i was working on tank all night. Was getting micro bubbles from fuge drain so i built a crappy bubble trap but that just causes low flow and other issues so came up with a new idea it actually increased flow in fuge and seems to have stopped the bubbles with out using any kinda filter that will clog. But some how in the mist of all this when i turned back on the system i noticed the sump level was too high not sure how but idk over the month too much r/o top off was in almost 4 gal and my salinity was at 1.021 because of this . Weird thing was sump seemed fine before i started messing lol any way drained to right level added salt all good now just gotta keep eye on it to see why i have a feeling its a filter sock issue time to test theory

Well more issues lol wtf. So came home tank looked ok not bad considering i havent turkey bastered it in few day the slime growth since get rid of stray voltage actually wasn't horrible looked at ph on reef keeper was actually at 8.3 hurray right lol never a smooth night. Well i went to change sock filter noticed water level in sump low ugh wtf ato no good or empty so i checked had plenty of water so i checked float switch nothing dam bad float switch so i went on reef keeper net nope float switch good . Bad pc4 dammit no worries i have like 5 reef keeper systems and god knows how many pc4 so i swap it out with brand new power bar still reading error on net wtf. Swapped cables nothing . So went to head unit it reads it on head unit fine so programmed whole thing from head unit all seems to work. Except net dont pick it up not sure why it is a pb4 new verson not the old pc4 maybe that why but not sure. Any buddy have any experience with pb4 on a reefkeeper elite and net if not gonna email them. I do have a apex now but wasnt gonna hook up til upgrade later this yr plus need anoth eb8 and maybe eb4

Joe, the crap returned in my tank. Not as bad as the first time but it's back. Hope you figured it out!

Im still all sps amazingly they r all still alive and mosthave good color idk how but im not complaining. No growth at all though lost maybe three pieces only

Man found more stray current . Once again ph dropped so i started checking and god dam float switch is the culprit

You no what i dont get i have a ground probe yet i get stray voltage guess i gotta see if thats working also

I've never used one where is it grounded to? If it's just to your electrical socket maybe it works but your socket might not be grounded just food for thought. I know a lot of older homes just have the gfci but they aren't really grounded they were just put in the wall to pass inspections.

House was built 1970 lol yea I thought about that so i screwed the little wire into the metal box i gotta buy a new outlet tester that will tell me if its grounded or not

Hold on.... stray current can cause low ph?! How do you check for stray current? I've been having low ph problems how has no one mentioned this possibility to me? Please god don't be stray current I have no idea how to check for that shit

It doesn't cause low ph. It made one of his probes give out a false reading
